The Japan Foundation New Delhi proudly brings theatre play – “The Restaurant of Many Orders” by Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project. This play will also move to Thrissur, Kerala.

“The Restaurant of Many Orders”

The story is known nationwide in Japan as in the elementary school text book, and is one of Kenji Miyazawa’s most famous piece. It is a story about “Nature v.s. Human”, composed of contemporary dance, voice, songs and masks, traveling between world of animals and world of humans.

Having described as “Dance Theatre”, the project inherits one-and-only Hiroshi Koike style of performance, which is fun, ambiguous and physical. Being the first project after disbanding the world-recognized company Pappa Tarahumara, Hiroshi Koike explores of the world after the great earthquake of Japan, bridging people to people, past and present, crossing the boundary of different arts, media and body.
