🎯 On Sunday, October 18, 2026, JALTAP and JFND co-hosted their very first workshop for Japanese language teachers in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, located in central Maharashtra! The workshop was titled "Reflect on Yourself Through a Teacher Portfolio!" 🎯📚 Eight participants from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and neighboring cities gathered to explore the benefits and effectiveness of using portfolios in Japanese language classes. 🌸 On 11 October 2026, The Japan Foundation, New Delhi participated in The Japan Opportunities for Youth (JOY) Hyderabad event took place at Cyber Gardens, bringing together approximately 40,000 participants to celebrate Japanese culture.🌸🎉Organised by NaRa Japan Hub, with support from the Japan Foundation, New Delhi (JFND), the Consulate General of Japan in Chennai and The Hyderabad Anime Club, the event featured a vibrant mix of anime, cosplay, food, technology and cultural performances. 🎉🏮FND was happy to connect with visitors through its Japanese language learning booth! Visitors explored our online learning resources. 🎓 On October 22nd , 2026, we held a certificate ceremony for 4 dedicated teachers from across India who completed The Japanese Language Teacher Training Course (84 hours) 3rd Batch—an advanced program for TTC-A 360-hour graduates, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy of Japan in India. 🎓📚 Over the past months, they honed their skills through lesson planning, mock classes, and practical sessions with participation support from students of The English and Foreign Languages University, Doon University, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi and its constituent colleges, focusing on teaching intermediate level Japanese. 📚🤝 The ceremony was kindly greeted by Mr. Fumio Yamazaki, Minister for Economic and Development, Embassy of Japan in India, who delivered an inspiring congratulatory address. 💻 The Japan Foundation, New Delhi had an online Japanese Teachers' Workshop on "文字の教え方" on October 21. 💻🌏 We had a wonderful group of 28 teachers join us from India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka! 🌏📚 Together, we reviewed the step-by-step process of teaching Hiragana and Katakana, shared helpful teaching resources, and discussed the true role of a teacher. 📚🎯We reaffirmed that our job as teachers is to: 🎯🤝 1. 🎉 On 24 October, The Japan Foundation, New Delhi (JFND), organized an engaging event named “Let’s Talk with NIHONGO Partners and Learn Real-Life Japanese with IRODORI,” bringing together 30 participants to explore Japanese language and culture through IRODORI: Japanese for Life in Japan.🎉📖 The event was divided into two parts. In Part 1, participants learned about IRODORI and practiced basic Japanese introductions.📖🗣️ In Part 2, participants were divided into seven groups, each joined by a NIHONGO Partner (NP).
