The Japan Foundation, New Delhi Library
The Japan Foundation Library develops its collection of books and other materials on Japan, international cultural exchange and publication by the Japan Foundation to provide extensive information services. The Library is open to the public.

Day: Tuesday to Saturday
Time: 11:00 to 18:30
Closed: Sundays, Mondays and Japan Foundation New Delhi holidays.

Services
Reading Room area
One may use the reading room area for study and research. It is available in two slots, first is from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm and second is from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Only one slot is allowed per person to use in a day.

Library has a Manga corner with approximate 2500 latest manga collection in English and Japanese languages. It is available in two slots, first is from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm and second is from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Only one slot is allowed per person to use in a day.
Reference Services
Library provides reference services for the collection and research information related to Japan and international cultural exchange. Requests are accepted by telephone, fax and e-mail.
Borrowing service
Library members can borrow the books, back volumes of journals/ magazines, manga & CDs for 14 days & extend the borrowing period of borrowed books up to another 14 days.
Holding & Reserving Items
Borrowed items can be put on hold or reserved.
Photocopying
Library member can copy only printed material, @Rs.1 per A4 Size exposure. Photocopying is subject to copyright restrictions.
Library Events
Library organise events on monthly basis on Japanese culture, arts, language, society, literature, book readers meetups for all age groups. For participation, one may register at nd_library@jpf.go.jp
General Rules
– Be reasonably quiet & no loud disruptive behaviour.
– No food or drinks.
– Mobile phone must be switched off or in silent mode.
– No photography or videography allowed without the permission of librarian or JFND authorities.
