The course will start from the 4th week of November 2014 and will continue till  2nd  week of March 2015.

                  Applicants must be 18 years of age or above and can communicate in English. 

 

Starter A1   Conversation    Class: , , , and Ⅴ

Eligibility:   Class , ,Ⅲ& :   Those who have no prior knowledge in Japanese

                  Class  V: Those who have completed Lesson 1 to 10 of “Marugoto A1 [Activity]”

     Those who have learned basic Japanese for a short time

Eligibility:    Those who have completed Conversation (Starter A1)

Eligibility:  Those who completed lesson 1 to 10 of ‘Marugoto A2-1 [Activity]’

              Those whose Japanese proficiency level is equivalent to JLPT N5 or below

Elementary A2-1     Conversation, Grammar & Script       Class Ⅷ,Ⅸand Ⅹ

Eligibility:  Class Ⅷ:Those who have completed Grammar & Script (Starter A1) or equivalent

                   Those whose Japanese proficiency level is equivalent to JLPT N5

Class Ⅸ&Ⅹ:Those who have completed lesson 1 to 10 of Grammar & Script (A2-1) or equivalent / Those whose Japanese proficiency level is equivalent to JLPT N4

Textbooks:   “Marugoto A2-1  -Japanese Language and Culture [Activity]”

                     “Marugoto A2-1  – Japanese Language and Culture [Comprehension]”

Textbook & material fee:     INR 1200  (2 books)

 

*Script Intensive Class*   (alternate week)

Eligibility:   Those who have no prior knowledge in Japanese script /*It can be taken with another course.

Textbook & material fee:   INR 300  

 

*Trial Class*(monthly 4 lessons only)

Those who would like to grasp the essence of Japanese language at an introductory level. 

Textbook & material fee: INR 200  

 

3.  Application and Course Fee Payment

– Download Application Form from here or obtain it from the JF reception (GF) .  

– Please fill up the Application Form and submit it to the JF reception (GF) .

– Due to class size, telephone interview will be conducted during 27th to 31st October on a first-come-first-served basis in the order of application submission. Please note that once all the seats are taken up by early-bird applicants, the telephone interview will not be conducted for the late applicants. 

 – Those who were selected shall come and pay the material fee at the Japan Foundation by 7th Nov to finalize the registration (Sat and Sun are closed).  The registration of those who failed to pay the fee by the designated day will be cancelled.

 

Venue and class size

– Venue:  The Japan Foundation, New Delhi              
– Class size:  10 to 15 people

 

Others

– Lessons that fall on public holidays may be shifted to alternative dates.

– If you are absent for 2 or more lessons in a row, you cannot continue the course

-Attendance ratio of 70% is needed to obtaion a certificate of completion of the course.
