Short Synopsis

A masterpiece describing the bond between the father and his sons.  After the death of his wife, an old man begins to live alone in his old home in Iwate. The old man knows that his days are numbered. He sets out to Tokyo to find his two sons and try to convince them to take over. However, he finds that his eldest son Tadashi is working hand-to-mouth for his own family, and Tetsuo has fallen in love with a deaf-mute factory girl, and they are about to get married…..
