About the Exhibition: Chihiro Iwasaki and Picture Books of Japan

As a part of its activities to introduce Japanese arts and culture to the world, the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, in association with the Chihiro Art Museum is presenting an exhibition of the works of Chihiro Iwasaki, and other picture book artists from Japan.

Through this exhibition, the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, and the Chihiro Art Museum, Japan, aim to introduce Chihiro Iwasaki’s works, as well as those of other acclaimed picture books artist from Japan, to a wide audience in India and create awareness about their beautiful works of art that have brought great joy to the people of Japan and the world, inheriting their sincere wish for peace for children of the world. The exhibition also features works about the history of Japanese picture books from the 8th to the 20th century.
